Facilitating Active ParticipationOn-line course for special educators and therapists!Center for Continuing and Professional Education University of Colorado DenverFacilitating Active Participation, a continuing education course, teaches a four-step process to increasing active student participation in learning and social activities. Educators from preschool through grade 12 will learn how to develop and implement interventions, how to eliminate barriers, and how to evaluate interventions. Why facilitate student participation?For any student with a disability, being able to participate in the curriculum is an essential prerequisite to learning. Students who are deprived of the ability to interact with peers and learning materials become spectators in their own classrooms.
What will happen once you are enrolled?The course includes seven on-line learning modules, a classroom project and distance consultation for intervention development. Upon course completion, you will receive one graduate credit from the University of Colorado Denver.
